Amanda Lee, MSW, LCSWA
Skilled in working with young children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, adults, parents and families in order to create and maintain a healthy foundation for all involved in therapy, Amanda meets people where they are. She consistently builds strong therapeutic alliances with her clients. She will walk alongside you to help you achieve your own unique goals.
Amanda believes the most important part of therapy is the relationship that is established between the client and therapist; she understands the level of vulnerability and trust that this requires as she has been in therapy consistently over the past several years to help her work through her own presenting anxieties and life transitions. Through the utilization of unconditional positive regard, you are completely accepted by Amanda wherever you are in your life journey.
By working with Amanda, you should expect to feel validated, accepted, and heard while working through presenting and past difficulties. Her motto is: Come as you are!

Personal Life |
Amanda is a recent “transplant” to North Carolina from Long Island, New York, where she was born, raised, and has lived for her entire life. Amanda lives with her husband and their two rescue dogs, Macy and Cookie, in Apex, NC. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys yoga, cooking, playing Animal Crossing, and re-watching The Office for the 10000th time (which she can--and will--quote extensively!).
Family is a priority to Amanda, who maintains a close relationship with her parents and teenage brother. Amanda’s brother is the reason she pursued the field of counseling, as he had been diagnosed with ASD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and ADHD as a child. Amanda was inspired by her parents’ support of her younger brother and has been passionate about serving others ever since. She is also passionate about coffee and planning her next Disney trip, which her husband promised to take her to at least once a year in their wedding vows--a promise that she has held him to for several years! |
