Catia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in brainspotting, life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and mood swings. She works with individual adults, parents, and couples to help them get the support that they need. Catia has been working in mental health for 18+ years, including at some of the major hospitals in the Triad area. She has a diverse background of working with youth, including being a mother, former preschool teacher, interpreter, and volunteering for international art projects for youth. Catia has a passion for ensuring that all children have a happy and peaceful life and that all couples and families thrive in a harmonious environment. Qualifications |
Catia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #C013185) approved by the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (NCSWCLB). In 2013 Catia attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she earned a Master Degree in Social Work. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Moldova State University. Catia speaks multiple languages and can work with clients in English, Russian, or Romanian. Catia is in the process of obtaining an official certification in Brainspotting.

During her Master’s Program, Catia completed internships at the Center for New North Carolinians in Greensboro and Catholic Charities in Winston Salem, providing case management to families of diverse backgrounds. After graduate school, she served as a therapist responding to crisis calls at Novant Health Behavioral Health in Winston Salem. She has been a clinical social worker at Cone Behavioral Health Hospital working in Triage and on the Child Adolescent Unit providing group therapy to children and adolescents. She has also led women’s therapy groups on trips to her home country of Moldova.

Catia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading daily meditations, practicing yoga, working in her garden, cooking, and being in nature. Originally from Moldova, she enjoys traveling, learning new cultures and languages, discovering new recipes and drinking hot herbal tea.
