she/her/ella
A therapeutic alliance nurtures opportunities for advocacy, aid, and most of all connection. My passion as a therapist is driven by the union of prosperity and personal resilience that therapy may unveil. A unity that instills the achievement of goals despite the obstacles that may arise on the path to improved mental and physical health and overall wellness.
In my work with young clients and their families, as well as with adults, my goal is to provide services and empathic support to help build healthy coping skills and outlets of expression. I believe in understanding each client as a whole. I value understanding the client’s story, unique identities, cultures, values, and societal experiences that have brought them to the counseling space. I would be truly honored to learn more about you or your child’s journey, understand your unique story, and your hopes for the future.

Background |
Gregoria’s journey into the counseling field began as a first-generation Latina advocating for students in the immigrant community. Through helping others, Gregoria found her calling to support diverse individuals facing mental health barriers, as well as generational and systemic challenges. Throughout her professional development, she engaged in training, internship, supervision, and advanced practicum in clinical and academic settings.
In these environments, Gregoria worked with clients facing various obstacles, including family and generational trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and anger management. She collaborated with parents, teachers, and staff by serving as a mediator to facilitate discussions about mental health needs. During her experience, she grasped the significance of meeting clients where they are to foster empathic therapeutic relationships and developing individualized treatment plans that address each client’s unique needs and goals, while also recognizing the importance of providing bilingual services to increase access to mental health care. |
Specialization |
Gregoria is dedicated to supporting clients and their families in their search for growth and resilience. She integrates a humanistic approach to counseling, with the primary goal of fostering trust, respect, empathy, and non-judgmental acceptance of each client’s story. Gregoria believes that the client-counselor relationship is the most crucial part of the therapeutic journey. She emphasizes creating a counseling space where clients and their families feel seen and comfortable discussing their unique intersecting identities.
In her sessions, she enjoys equipping clients with coping skills and restorative practices for in and out of session use. Gregoria is interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults, and offering counseling services in both English and Spanish. |
Personal Life |
Outside of work, Gregoria cherishes the time she spends with her family, close friends, her furball Luna, and the Winston-Salem community. Whether she’s trying out a new restaurant, attending a local festival to sing and dance, watching a good movie that brings laughter and occasional tears, or giving back to her community by volunteering or interpreting, she finds great joy in creating memories and enjoying meaningful quality time.
