Lauren is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Life/Wellness Coach specializing in sports nutrition, developing healthy relationships with food, disordered eating, digestive health, blood sugar control, and overall lifestyle wellness. She works with individual adults, children, and families to help promote holistic health and wellness for all.
As a mother, former an elementary school teacher, art instructor, and volunteer coach for youth running programs, Lauren has a diverse background from which she utilizes to help people of all ages and lifestyles. She is passionate about helping her clients develop positive relationships with food and learn ways to incorporate more mindful movement into their lives. Lauren is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Lauren holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from East Carolina University and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.

Background |
During her Master’s Program, Lauren completed internships in the areas of food service, clinical nutrition, community nutrition and sports nutrition. She served under the Director of Dining at Kendal on Hudson life plan community in Sleepy Hollow, New York where she learned food service management skills. Lauren interned with Open Door Family Medical Center in Port Chester, New York where she assisted in nutrition counseling for individuals of all ages. At the Wayne Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in The Bronx, Lauren interned in the nutrition department, providing nutrition counseling and learning medical nutrition therapy for the rehabilitation population. When returning to North Carolina, Lauren completed her dietetic internship virtually with Alyssa Lavy Nutrition and Wellness where she studied gastrointestinal health and nutrition therapy practices related to Irritable Bowel Diseases.

Lauren lives with her spouse, two children, and pup in Raleigh, NC. Lauren enjoys long distance running, hiking, triathlon, yoga, meditation, cooking, baking, and exploring both the kitchen and the outdoors. In her free time, Lauren can be found writing, searching for new coffee shops, and doing DIY projects with her husband.
