Separation Counseling & Collaborative Parenting
Navigating change with compassion.
You’ve made the difficult decision to separate, yet you may still find yourself struggling with the communication, conflict, and discord that led to the separation in the first place. You aren't sure how to transition your relationship, but you know you want peace, you want the children to be put first, and you want to be able to communicate effectively through conflict.
This is exactly where our Separation Counseling and Co-Parent Coaching services can help you move forward.
-
Whether you have children or not, separating from a partner is a profound life transition. Our licensed clinicians can help you understand the patterns that led you to separate, gain clarity on the situation, and grow from the experience so you can avoid repeating those same patterns in the future. We are here to help you navigate the emotional challenges of separation and divorce while fostering healthy coping mechanisms and communication skills.
-
When a family transitions, your child's needs must remain the priority. When engaged in Collaborative Parenting (or Co-Parent Coaching) at Banyan Tree Counseling, our therapists help parents improve communication to reduce overall conflict. We focus on fostering a collaborative relationship between co-parents to create a sense of peace and stability within the newly restructured family unit.
-
Our structured approach is designed to help you and your co-parent achieve the following:
Develop a clear plan for financial responsibilities and commitments that works for both parents.
Establish respectful boundaries for ongoing communication and privacy.
Outline clear decision-making processes for medical needs, holidays, education, travel, and scheduling issues.
Reduce power struggles and achieve lasting peace from conflict.
-
At Banyan, we prioritize your emotional well-being during major life transitions. We firmly believe that investing in your mental health and family's peace is priceless—a wise choice that significantly outweighs the heavy emotional and financial costs associated with court litigation.
