Personal Life |
Chantal lives with her three children, one spouse, and a wild pack of perpetual dust bunnies. An AuDHD ambivert, Chantal is passionate about all things psychology, which doesn't always earn her return invites to dinner parties. She has a background in several different religions and spiritualities, including Buddhism, mentoring under abbot monk Phrakru Buddamonpricha at Wat Carolina Buddhajakra Vanaram, and considers herself a student of the universe, constantly learning. When she's not in the office, she enjoys engaging in many special interests, such as meticulously planning international travel to obscure places, snowboarding, learning from the stillness of trees, writing poetry, creating art, being in awe of nature, and contemplating what it means to be human in this world. She is passionate about social justice and dedicated to playing a role in creating a more just and equitable world for all people, as well as for the environment. At home you'll find her eating stinky cheese, watching Curb Your Enthusiasm reruns, playing video games, or hanging out in her greenhouse singing to her plants.
