By doing this, it is possible to develop the skills to tackle the roadblocks preventing us from living our fullest lives. |
Qualifications |
Jared is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor 15910 approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLCMHC). In 2018 Jared attended the Florida State University where he earned his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida.
|
Counseling Background |
During his master’s program, Jared completed his internship at the Center for Couples and Family Therapy in Tallahassee, FL. There he was able to serve both individuals and couples, presenting with a wide range of diagnoses including ASD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.
|
Specialization |
Jared specializes in providing therapy for both major life changes and every-day difficulties. These difficulties can present within ourselves as anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, self-defeating behavior patterns, self-criticism, and self-consciousness. They can also present within our relationships as damaging or ineffective patterns with our significant others, leading to communication issues, boundary issues, or emotional conflict just to name a few.
|
Personal Life |
Jared lives with his wife, his dog Emma and his cat Finn in Winston Salem, NC. They just welcomed a new (human) baby into the world in 2022! In his free time he tries to strike a balance between outdoor and indoor activities, enjoying hiking/exercising and meditating as well as watching Netflix, Star Wars, and playing video games. He is eternally curious about how things work, which is part of what drew him to psychology, and can also lead him to explore the mechanisms behind random subjects/objects on the internet late into the evening.
