Sarah is a Licensed Professional School Counselor and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and college-aged adults. As a former competitive athlete, Sarah has a niche in sports psychology and enjoys supporting youth and adults who participate in both competitive and recreational athletics alike to overcome psychological obstacles such as stress, anxiety, concentration, confidence, anger, and depression.
In addition, Sarah provides counseling for families and parental consultation. She believes in meeting people where they are and helping them achieve their goals by gaining confidence in themselves and living emotionally healthy lives.

Sarah earned her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling in 2012 from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and an additional MA in Clinical Mental Health from Butler University in 2020. She has been working with youth as a school counselor, college and career counselor, and an athletic coach for the past decade.

Sarah served as a school counselor in Indiana for several years with grade levels K-12. She is the former Director of College and Career Counseling at the International School of Indiana.

Sarah enjoys working with youth of all ages and provides counseling for peer and family conflict, grief and loss, life change/transitions, college counseling, career counseling, anxiety, social relationships, attention deficits, and adjustment issues. She especially enjoys helping young athletes address mental roadblocks and challenges to improve their performance and overall mental health. She utilizes a mix of solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and play therapy to help her clients manage their lives more effectively and grow to meet their fullest potential.
Sarah has advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) which is the gold standard evidence-based treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). With ERP, Sarah helps her clients tackle intrusive thoughts and compulsions head-on, helping them build resilience and regain control over their lives. |
Personal Life |
Sarah lives outside of Winston Salem with her husband, two children, and Australian Shepherd. She spends her extra time chauffeuring her kids to their activities and coaching figure skating. Sarah enjoys reading murder mystery novels and taking naps in the sun. She loves to travel internationally and considers herself a global citizen.
